Get ready to explore the great outdoors with an exciting Pond Dipping & Bug Hunt at beautiful Cleeve Common!
🐞 Search for fascinating mini-beasts along the trail
🦋 Discover wildlife hiding in the grass and hedgerows
💦 Dip into the stream at Washpool and see what creatures you can find beneath the water
🌳 Enjoy a fun-filled day of nature, exploration, and adventure with the whole family
🥪 Bring a picnic and enjoy lunch surrounded by nature!
Important Information for Parents
✔ Bring sunscreen, hats, waterproofs, and wellies
✔ Be prepared for muddy conditions and uneven ground
✔ The route to Washpool is approximately 1 mile and takes around 30 minutes to walk at a family-friendly pace
✔ Please be aware there is a stream and areas of open water
🎟 Spaces available for 30 children plus carers – booking essential!
📍 Meeting Point: Quarry Car Park, Cleeve Common
📮 Nearest postcode: GL52 3PW (Golf Club postcode)
Directions: Drive past the golf club car park and continue straight up the track. Cross the cattle grid and turn left into the Quarry Car Park. Please do not park elsewhere on the Common.
