Family Support Workers

Working within our Advice Service as a Family Support Worker is a very rewarding role. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A caring an empathetic approach, with the ability to stay calm and rational in highly emotive circumstances

  • Knowledge of SEN processes and basic knowledge of an EHCP

  • Full driving licence with own transport

  • Flexibility to be able to attend meetings

SEN Support Advisor

Do you know your way around a working document? Do you have experience with the appeals process? We are looking for SEN Support Advisors to support families going through the appeals process. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An excellent knowledge of how an EHCP works and is set out

  • Basic understanding of inputting professional reports into a working document

  • Basic understanding of the appeal process

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Keen eye for detail

Independent Social Worker

We are looking for Independent Social Workers who want to make a difference!! Our social workers work closely with families going through children's social care, whether that be on a safeguarding level or Section 17 child in need. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An active registration with Social Work England

  • Excellent knowledge around disabled children within social care

  • The ability to 'change their hat'. The knowledge that children can be in need due to disability and there be no safeguarding concerns

  • Excellent knowledge of assessments and an ability to carry out a thorough independent assessment of needs

  • Own car and full driving licence with the ability to travel for meetings
