Wild Families Gloucestershire

Explore Nature. Build Confidence. Make Memories Together.

Every family deserves the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Wild Families Gloucestershire is an exciting nature-based wellbeing project created by the Parent and Carer Alliance CIC to give disabled children, young people and their families the opportunity to experience the physical and emotional benefits of nature in a way that is truly inclusive, accessible and welcoming.

Whether it's exploring woodland trails, discovering wildlife, taking part in sensory nature activities or simply enjoying time together outdoors, every session is designed so families can relax, connect and belong.

Why Nature Matters

Research shows that spending time outdoors can:

  • Improve mental health and emotional wellbeing

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Increase confidence and independence

  • Improve communication and social skills

  • Reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation

  • Help people connect with the world around them
