Fire & Feast, Notgrove, Cheltenham

A one off opportunity for your child(ren) to enjoy a Fire and Feast day with Fat Squirrel Outdoor.

The day starts at 9.30am and finishes at 2.30pm. This is a drop off event, parents are not requested to remain.

What will the children do?

• Campfire cooking

• Bushcraft activities

• Lighting the campfire, prepping food and cooking over the campfire is the core activity of a fire and feast day.

• Designed to help young people explore healthier eating by engaging them in the process and reducing food anxieties.

• After a campfire breakfast and while lunch cooks there is time for a bushcraft activity and time permitting some post lunch axe throwing.

There is a form to fill in to be able to attend. Without this form completed, your child(ren) will not be able to remain at the camp. Please see link below.

ABOUT THE WOODLAND

Fat Squirrel Outdoor operates in rural woodland locations and our facilities are simple. The ground is uneven with hidden holes, tree stumps and branches. We have composting toilets on all sites and hand wash facilities.

WHAT TO WEAR

- Old clothes (we cannot take responsibility for damage to clothing)

- Long trousers or leggings to protect from bites and stings

- Sturdy trainers, walking boots or wellies

- No sandals or flip flops please

WHAT TO BRING

- Water bottle

- Warm jumper

- Sun hat and sun cream

- Waterproof coat

- Medication

WHAT TO LEAVE AT HOME

- Phones (we cannot be responsible for lost phones and usage at camp is not allowed)

- Snacks (we provide breakfast, fruit, snacks and lunch)

Please note that this event is not possible for those requiring wheelchair access or 1:1 or 2:1 support.

It is also not possible to support personal care at this event.
