About the event
We are always delighted to welcome parent carers, with or without your children, whether you would like advice on education, health or social care, or simply want a friendly chat in a relaxed and supportive environment.
If you are attending for advice, with or without your child, please book your free space in advance. Booking is essential, as without a reservation we may not be able to support you on the day.
Sensory & Water Play
Come along and enjoy a variety of sensory experiences designed to encourage exploration, creativity and fun. Alongside our popular sensory food and LEGO activities, water play will also be available, providing an exciting way for children to splash, pour, explore and regulate their senses in a safe and enjoyable environment. So ensure you bring towels!
Benefits of Sensory Play
Different textures and sensory experiences play a significant role in a child's development by supporting:
Tactile Stimulation – Encourages children to explore different textures and sensations.
Cognitive Development – Promotes problem-solving, creativity and learning through play.
Emotional and Social Development – Builds confidence, communication and cooperative play skills.
Taste Exploration – Introduces children to a range of safe sensory experiences through food play.
Sensory Regulation – Helps children self-regulate and process sensory information in a calming environment.

LEGO is a choking hazard. Please do not book this event if your child may be at risk from this activity.
Water play will be available, so we recommend bringing a towel and a change of clothes, as children may get wet.
Please let us know about any allergies for anyone in your party, as food items will be available during sensory activities.
Please tell us about any behaviours or support needs, or if any equipment or activities may be unsuitable for your child, so we can make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
LEGO creations made during the session will remain at the venue and cannot be taken home.
Parents and carers remain responsible for their children at all times.
Accessibility: A disabled toilet is available; however, please note there is no hoist or Changing Places facility.
