Carers Self-Assessment
Being a carer can have a significant impact on your physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, finances and everyday life. Yet the challenges you face are not always fully recognised or understood.
At Parent & Carer Alliance C.I.C., we believe that your experiences matter and that you should have the opportunity to explain your caring responsibilities in your own words.
This self-assessment is designed to help you reflect on the impact of your caring role, identify the support you may need and record your experiences in a way that can help others understand your circumstances.
There are no right or wrong answers. You can skip any questions you do not feel comfortable answering. By sharing your experiences, you can help us build a clearer understanding of the challenges parent carers face and strengthen our work to improve support for families
Your lived experience is valid evidence. You do not need to reach crisis point before your needs deserve to be recognised.
We recommend completing this self-assessment annually, or whenever there is a significant change in your caring responsibilities, family circumstances or support needs. This helps ensure that your experiences and needs are accurately reflected over time and that changes in your circumstances are recognised.
