The Parent and Carer Alliance has been shocked by the number of calls we have received from families outlining serious and very damaging allegations of fabricated and induced illness and/or abuse of their children. It is especially worrying that these allegations concern children with complex needs who often require support from Social Services, Health and Education.In order to both support families coping with this situation and to also bring about positive change in the future, the Parent and Carer Alliance has gathered evidence to establish how many families have suffered from this treatment, how these situations occur, and who is involved.
